Issue:

Whether Colorado election officials violated the NVRA by, within 90 days of an election, removing the names of voters from the statewide voter registration database for unauthorized reasons, including the failure of a post-registration address confirmation postcard to reach the new registrant.

Status:

Complaint filed 10/25/08.  Motion for PI granted on 10/31/08.  Answer to compliant filed 11/17/08. New Secretary of State for the State of Colorado, Bernie Buescher, replaced Mike Coffman as Defendant on 1/21/09.  Case is currently in discovery.  Deadlines for amended complaint and answer have been extended to 4/13 and 5/4, respectively. Amended complaint filed 4/16. Motion to Dismiss filed by Bernie Buescher 5/22.
